Reverse Turing Test
The important question may no longer be whether machines can imitate human intelligence, but whether humans are becoming less precise, less reflective and easier for machines and systems to predict.
Everyone is afraid AI is getting smarter than humans.
Nobody talks about the other direction.
A growing number of people already think slower, speak with less precision, and react more predictably than the AI they fear. Predictable outputs. Limited vocabulary. Pattern execution without awareness.
The Turing Test was designed to check if a machine could imitate a human.
Somebody should run it the other way.
And here’s the real irony — most people loudly afraid of AI have never heard of Alan Turing. The man who broke Enigma, saved millions of lives, and gave us the theoretical foundation of computing. Driven to suicide by the state he served.
The problem isn’t that AI got smarter.
It’s that some people didn’t notice they stopped.
